So, I've been meeting with my area manager a lot latley to get ready for my grill (non erac employees- my grill is basically my gateway to promotion). Now part of the grill is to role play a sales call. So I sat down with Ben yesterday to go over grill stuff, and preform a mock sales call.
I couldn't do it.
I couldn't even make it past the introduction with out feeling like the biggest idiot ever. I've always been umcomfortable with role plays. I know that, and I can admit it. I've been on a real sales call and never really struggled with it. But the thought of sitting down with ben and conducting a fake sales call was horrifying. I don't know why. Ben was really disappointed. Which, i can understand since he is just as invested as i am in getting me passed my grill.
So this week i am going to be spending a lot of time in front of the mirror, with my cats and mike, and maybe my favorite assistant Joseph working on role plays. Cause next friday Ben is coming back to roll through one with me. This time though my lunch depends on it.

ugh... the things i have to do to get promoted with this company.
