First of all, I would just like to say thank you to nancy for reading, and loving my blog. Its just nice to hear. And ps. I definitely owe you a phone call.
Secondly, last week I started my new gym routine. So far it consists of going to the gym twice a week at ass crack of dawn. Now I don't want to jinx myself (cause apparantly it takes 4 weeks of doing something to make it a routine) but i'm half way to making it a habit. I actually look forward to the mornings I get up and go because on those days, I have a ton more energy to make it through the day. And I feel like a better person for it. Now I know mike you probably have already taken offense to this because you think I'm saying I'd rather go to the gym then have coffee with you. Its not true, if I could burn calories, and get in shape while just sitting on the couch drinking coffee, I would do it twice a day. But it just doesn't work that way. With that said, I think after I finish 4 weeks consecutively, I may try to bump it up to three days a week. Only because it is probably one of the cheapest ways for me to feel healthy ( and barely because i still have to pay a gym membership). But for me and mike to eat healthy all the time would cost a lot of money we don't have.
I also decided today while I was filling plastic bags with groceries for me and mike that it was about time that I lived a little greener. Yeah, it sounds pretty generic, but I always am thinking of things I could do differently, I just never do them. Laziness I guess. However, knowing that the company I work for is coming up with ways to operate greenly, why can't I? My first goal will be cutting down the amount of plastic bags/baggies I consume (as in use, not actually eat). I'm going to start using rubbermaid containers to pack my lunch, and bring my own utencils if i need them. I'm also going to try and cut back on the amount of bottled water I use. I think maybe I should invest in a water purifier.
Speaking of green, mike and I went to the auto show yesterday. I have never actually been to one. Not even in all the time I spent in Michigan. It was kinda cool. I mean I'm not really that into cars by any means but it was fun to look at all the cars ( which was strange, since I see cars everyday) and I even learned what a concept car was.
We also picked up Mike's brother from the Metro yesterday because he needed to use Mike's car to go to a Hillary Clinton rally. Which even though I'm a republican its refreshing to see he is at least active in the political system and optimistic. I on the otherhand am entirely pessimistic towards the election as a whole. There are big promises being made on both sides for reform and change. There are plans for universal healthcare, economic stimulus, and deployment from Iraq but with our government set up the way it is can one person really acheive any of that? There are checks and balances, veto's and filibusters. Then when you add in the role of the media it is almost impossible to implement any plan. I guess all in all, I just have no idea what I will do come Novemeber. I think I will just vote for myself as president.
oh and on a much lighter note, I kinda love ashlee simpson's new song. She apparantly thinks she is the next gwen stefani, and I might be ok with that.
love.
i <3 the IRS, and the money they are returning to me.

I'm glad you liked the car show. I thought you'd be all car-ed out. The Detroit one is a lot better, with more concept cars that I think you would have fun seeing.
I do take offense to you enjoying working out more than your coffee with me. Do you know what the first part of 'working out' is? WORKING! And you know how I feel about work (any type of it). Gigantic boo to you. But I'm glad you're staying in shape for my sexual benefit =).
