top 5 things i wont miss about my branch...

there are plenty of things i will miss, but these aren't any of them...

number 5... G.A.L.F.

In laymans terms, my manager. Yes he has 4 names, i think that is part of the reason i hate him. Ok, strongly dislike. Other reasons would include the fact that he is lazy, disrespectful, and on most days, just not very good at his job. On some days he is ok to deal with, but those are so few and far between, i can't even look forward to one occurring... so i say good riddance. Maybe i'll like him better when i'm not his employee.

number 4...picking up customers

Its not so much the idea of riding in a car and making conversation with a complete stranger that makes it horrible. Its the transaction time. With an average walk in customer, you transaction time is usually only 5-10 minutes depending on if the car is clean. Which leaves ample time and capacity for small talk. Where as when you have to pick a customer up, your drive is probably about 10 minutes, so the drive back is another 10 minutes, so by the time you make it back to the office, usually there is nothing left to say. And in the end, i usually end up insulted because people either think i'm 17, and working before I start college, or ask me when I am going to get a real job, because they don;t know that enterprise is a real job...

number 3... our car prep

ahhh yes, our cap prep. He shows up 3 days a week. Sometimes on time, most of the time late, and on occasion not at all. He is a pot head who got kicked out of his college in Georgia, so he comes to our branch and pretends to work. I worry every time about checking people into cars that he "cleaned" because 9 times out of 10, i still find trash in it. SO really in the end, i just end up doing both of our jobs.

number 2... working 5 1/2 days a week

even though it is only every other week, waking up on that saturday for a 3 1/2 hour shift is incredibly annoying. It pretty much ruins your weekend. And even though working on saturday allows you one free pass to leave early during the week. It doesn't make it any better.

and number 1.. insurance rentals

insurance rentals just all around suck for one reason, most people don't know shit about their own insurance. Granted, if i didn't work in an industry like this i probably wouldn't know as much as i do. But jesus christ, its incredible that so many people put out money for an insurance policy (created by an agent) and don't know jack shit about it. It is like pulling to teeth to get answers out of someone when their own insurance is going to pay for a portion of the rental. I mean, i've had people that didn't even know the name of their insurance company!
