So I mentioned the other day about how Mike and I were going to look at some houses this weekend. We checked out a few condos, a townhouse, and a single family home yesterday. We have watched a ton of HGTV shows, but doing it yourself is so much more fun.
The condos were ok, but we pretty much crossed that possibility off the list because it was too similar to our living situation right now. In fact our apartment had more living space then one of the condos we saw! Another factor: Mike and I are not too keen on paying condo fees.
The townhouse was much more our style though. It had real hardwood floors, lots of space , several closets, and a partially finished basement. However, it needed a new kitchen, and the price was a little too much considering the work that needed to be done.
The last house we saw was the detached single family in an area of Baltimore called Catonsville. It's an old house, built in the 1940's. I have to say I fell in love with it and In the end I am probably going to get my heart broken. It needs a ton of work, including a new kitchen the addition of a bathroom, and the basement needs to be finished. Not to mention that the siding has to be repaired and probably the roof. The house has ton of character and an amazing backyard with a pool. Mike and I both love it because of all the potential it has but we both know that we probably can not afford the house and all of its baggage. Take a look for yourself, and tell me what you think...

Ha!
Yeah, Matt and I are pretty excited about Thrive users.
We laughed when we realized that we'd both hunted you down to tell you about your comment page.
In addition to Thrive users, we love people looking to promote helpful financial information!
So, that might be way you're getting double the love.
Keep up the wonderful work and great writing! We will keep reading.
All the best,
