MUFFINS are BREAD..... not cake.

well, i've almost spent a full week working in a trailer, and what may you ask have a i learned?

Well for starters, a lot of directions, as in how to get to many places in maryland. I spend more time during the day in cars, on the road then i actually do in my lovely modular office. The irony however is in what i've been driving around in. I'll give you one guess... yup thats right, i've been logging my many hours in a pick-up truck. A FREAKING pick up truck, not to mention the lovely cargo van i had to drive on the beltway the other day. Apparantly my manager finds satisfaction in the look of horror i give him everytime he throws me the keys to one. I think he realizes how ridiculous i look in vehicles such as pick ups and cargos, and does it for the amusment. I mean, come on, i already work in a trailer, and now you are gonna make me drive a truck?! AND its not even a little truck, its the huge ones, extended cab and everything. I mean why don't i just stop and pick up some chew on the way back from a deal? maybe i should just stop grooming myself as well.

ok ok.. low blow, but seriously?!

Today was a probably the most ridiculous day all week. My manager decided it was a great idea to cut out early despite the fact that about 80% of our deals for the day were taking place after 3pm, and it would be me and one other person. Now i'm not completely useless, but i'm also not very good yet at what im doing, and tend to still ask a lot of questions, so basically my coworker was doing twice the work he should have been. In addition to the revolving door of customers we had, we also got a pleasant call from the sykesville police department informing us that one of our vehicles had been impounded because it was involved in a hit and run and was being driven by an unauthorized driver. You stay classy sykesville, you stay classy. Despite this happening at 545 approximately, I still got to leave pretty much on time, since i wouldn't know what to do in that situation anyway, But my poor coworker had to stay behind and do the work my manager should have been doing. Must be nice to be making the big bucks.

i guess we will see what the next weeks will hold...

ps. someone please tell mike that muffins are bread, he has some silly misconception that they are cake, or that cake and bread are one in the same.

Since Panera BREAD Co. sells muffins and they don't sell any cakes, I think muffins are considered a bread.

Apparently they do sell cake, because muffins are a type of cake.

Just because the word 'bread' is in the name of a store doesn't mean anything. On a muffin box it says "quick bread" on it. Still not a bread though.

But you are right, they don't sell your traditional birthday cake. You know your Panera.

what is a beltway and a cargo?? they don't have those where I come from!
and i believe muffins are categorized as a pastry, so they are pretty much doughnuts! ha!

Doughnuts are cake. Done and done. Lauren agrees with me.
